Executrax: GPS tracking & telemetry

High-tech on-board fleet management system

Babcock is the sole importer and distributor of DAF Trucks, parts and service in southern Africa. To help our customers increase efficiency, we introduced a high-tech onboard fleet management system, which now comes standard with all DAF Trucks.

Executrax: GPS tracking & telemetry

Executrax delivers seamless driver & vehicle management performance. It allows vehicle owners to track and report back on locations, driving behaviour, and vehicle and driver safety. It also monitors the productivity of a vehicle in order to make transport more cost-effective and sustainable.

GPS tracking is fast becoming the industry standard
Many consumers are already familiar with the standard location features that GPS has to offer. New advances in technology have encouraged business owners to take advantage of the tangible, financial benefits that GPS tracking can offer.

Why Executrax?
For businesses that use trucks for long distance haulage Executrax eliminates guesswork. At any given time the system user can obtain a high-definition trip history on a map that incorporates detailed telemetry logged data to assist with the investigation of specific actions or simply to monitor day-to-day management. Other readily available reports include vehicle speed, engine revolutions, fuel consumption monitoring, engine hours, idle time and driver performance.

“We’ve taken a long, hard look at the kind of information that local fleet operators need to make informed, business-critical decisions and our response is a total in-house package that is not only unique in the local market, but is rapidly becoming recognised as the most advanced system of its kind in the industry,” says Mark Gavin, Sales Director - Transport Solutions, Babcock International Group.

Customers have the option to connect their already installed unit to Babcock’s central management server for a small monthly fee. This unit’s system will be linked to the truck’s existing computer and diagnostics systems, communicating wirelessly to any Internet-enabled device.

In addition to its cloud functionality, this intelligent system is also mobile-friendly. Other unique benefits include ‘Keep In’ and ‘No Go’ alerts which happen when a driver has deviated from a route, informing the owner through an email or SMS notification. This system also boasts anti-hijacking and anti-jamming functionality, decreasing theft and liability for further safety precaution.

“All these features combine to help DAF customers focus on their businesses by facilitating increased productivity, reduced stock loss and a lower operating risk,” concludes Gavin.

Install GPS fleet tracking, today
Transport managers who rely on trucks and other vehicles to provide products and services to their customers should constantly be looking for new and better ways to accomplish tasks. With real-time information and reporting so readily available, you should feel empowered to change the way your business operates. Executrax gives owners and management staff the tools to better monitor their assets and implement measures that can help to increase productivity for both the driver and the truck. Because of its ability to ‘watch’ employees on the job, not only does it track the hiccups but it helps business owners reward their hard-working, dedicated staff.

Having a bird’s eye view of your truck fleet can be a powerful customer servicing tool that can lead to more business opportunities or be used to protect drivers against false complaints.
