Middelburg branch opening a success

On the afternoon of 4 February 2016, Babcock played host to local & overseas dignitaries as we celebrated the official opening of our 30 000sqm Middelburg premises. The sales, parts and service dealership in Middelburg will offer responsive regional support and service across the entire construction equipment product range.

Babcock has had a presence in the Middelburg region for the last 16 years and has outgrown two previous premises in this time. The purpose of the newly built Middelburg facility is to assist and support customers in the region as well as service the coal mining fields of Middelburg and surrounds for at least the next 20 years.

To commemorate the opening of the R100-million branch, a celebratory plaque was unveiled by Dame Judith Macgregor - British High Commissioner to South Africa and Peter Rogers - CEO Babcock International Group. Following the unveiling, guests embarked on a guided premises tour.  The tour provided the opportunity to view the extensive range of construction equipment on display including an original, refurbished 1960s Volvo wheel loader.
