More than 30 small businesses have benefitted from Babcock's Enterprise & Supplier Development Programmes

Five years ago Babcock International Group - Africa embarked on an Enterprise and Supplier Development Programme with a view to support the establishment and development of small and medium sized businesses owned by previously disadvantaged individuals. This was achieved with the support of Raizecorp and recently Edge Growth. Since the inception of the initiative in 2012, more than 30 small businesses have benefitted from these programmes.

Enterprise Development - supporting entrepreneurship
Over a two year period, Babcock supported 8 young entrepreneurs from fields such as construction, recruitment, gardening, engineering, security and cleaning. Those who have the potential to become valuable suppliers to Babcock are selected annually to participate in Babcock’s Enterprise Development programme supported by Raizcorp.

Supplier Development - SME's
The Supplier Development programme is supported by Raizcorp and Edge Growth. A full suite of skills and services needed to successfully develop, grow and integrate relevant, business-ready small and medium-sized enterprises [SMEs] into Babcock’s established procurement processes and supply chain systems is provided to 14 candidates annually.
