Rhenier Kapp, newly appointed Business Development Manager - Transport Solutions

Our newly appointed Business Development Manager – Transport Solutions, Rhenier Kapp, has the perfect background that will prepare him for his exciting new role at Babcock.

Rhenier cut his teeth in the commercial vehicles industry with an international automotive group. He has gained invaluable experience from his role as a top sales executive for a premium vehicle brand, and a technical manager for a logistics company where he was exposed to the mechanical side of the business.

He was also responsible for procurement, maintenance and management of close on to 1 000 vehicles and trailers where he was part of the team that developed and implemented a total solution offering for a commercial fleet business.
“The time spent in this environment afforded me a renewed appreciation of the needs and requirements that commercial customers have in all sectors,” says Rhenier. “There are big things to come for the DAF brand. I am excited about the launch of the new DAF Trucks and the focus this will bring on lower running cost offerings to the customer.”

That’s according to Khalid Saleh, author of “Conversion Optimization: The Art and Science of Converting Prospects to Customers”, who notes: “The first rule of any business is to retain customers and build a loyal relationship with them, and thereby avoid customer acquisition costs.
