Godfrey Muhuweru, founding director of Biakanyo Fresh Produce, operates in Mpumalanga where he supplies vegetables to supermarkets, caterers, and school feeding schemes. Despite his hands-on experience, he joined the Babcock Entrepreneurship Development Programme seeking structure, leadership development, and long-term sustainability.
Through sessions on leadership, safety, and customer engagement, Godfrey was able to identify and address challenges such as procrastination and short-term thinking. Importantly, the programme taught him to appreciate the full business cycle — not just the rewarding moments of harvest.
With mentorship from industry professionals and new confidence in his leadership, he’s equipped to grow his business with purpose and direction.
