Babcock, exclusive distributor of SDLG construction machinery in the southern African region, enjoyed beyond-expectation success during its first ever participation in the Nampo agricultural show. The SDLG team were inundated with interest from visitors about the SDLG range of affordable and reliable machines.
SDLG causes buzz at Nampo
Three machines, a 16 ton LG9190 grader, an LG958 wheel loader and an LG938 wheel loader, were sold at the stand, while the SDLG team manning the stand were inundated with questions from visitors who had heard of the brand, but were seeing the equipment for the first time at the show. Many of these visitors came from neighbouring countries, where Babcock also supports a steadily growing SDLG footprint.
The LG938 was sold with a quick coupler and forks ideally suited to farming applications. In addition to forks, a quick coupler can also be used in combination with other agricultural attachments, such as log grapple and bale spikes. “We have a well-established branch in Wolmaransstad and many of our customers from the area visited our stand at Nampo and were impressed to hear about the full extent of support Babcock offers local customers,” says Grant Sheppard, SDLG general manager. “The SDLG brand is becoming popular in the area that our sales and aftersales support now extend from Wolmaransstad to Bloemfontein, effectively reflecting the SDLG slogan, ‘Reliability in Action’ .”
Babcock is now poised to move this exhibition of SDLG equipment to the Eston Show in KwaZulu-Natal in August.
All Babcock/SDLG centres are fully geared to service the expanding range of equipment being sold across Southern Africa. This includes a comprehensive stockholding of spare parts.
